What to Prepare Before Your First Consultation

A first consultation can feel overwhelming, especially if you don't know exactly what to bring or what questions to ask. We've gathered some practical tips to help you feel prepared and get the most out of your meeting with your favorite event organizer.

Whether it's a board game night, a hike, or a cooking workshop, preparing in advance makes the difference between a good experience and an excellent one.

Useful Documents and Information

Before the first consultation, make sure you have on hand:

  • The booking confirmation or registration code received by email
  • A list of your preferences – type of activity, difficulty level, dietary or mobility restrictions
  • Questions about the schedule, required equipment, or specific rules
  • A contact phone number for the organizer, in case of delays or changes of plans

What to Have in Your Bag

For a worry-free experience, we recommend you bring:

  • A reusable water bottle
  • Comfortable footwear, suitable for the activity
  • A light jacket or rain poncho, depending on the weather
  • A power bank for your phone – you'll take photos or use maps
  • A notebook and pen, if you want to jot down details or ideas from other participants

Your Mindset Matters

The first consultation is not a test, but an opportunity to meet new people and discover activities that suit you. Come with an open mind, be curious, and don't hesitate to ask questions. The organizers are there to help you feel welcome.

If you have any questions about logistics or participation, call us at 0212866910 or email us at info@arvadafriends.com. We are here to support you before, during, and after the event.

Participants who come prepared feel more relaxed and integrate into the community faster. A simple checklist can turn a first experience into a pleasant memory.

On October 15, 25 adults from Brașov and the surrounding area participated in a guided hike on the Râșnoava Gorges. The trail, of medium difficulty, offered moments of collaboration and free discussion, away from screens. Participants shared career stories, hobbies, and ideas for future events, and by the end, a mountain running group was born that now meets every weekend.

Community Cooking Workshop – Recipes and Stories in One Place

The "Open Kitchen" Association organized a cooking workshop in the center of Timișoara, with 18 people signing up. Each participant brought a surprise ingredient, and together they prepared three dishes inspired by Romanian and international cuisine. Besides recipes, people shared food-related memories and planned the next meeting – an evening of desserts and travel stories.
