Questions asked by clients before starting

Every time a new event appears on the platform, I get the same questions. It's not about mistrust, but about the desire to know exactly what to expect. I've gathered some of the most frequent questions and the answers I usually give.

"Do I need to have experience in board games to participate in game nights?" – No. Most events are open to beginners. Organizers explain the rules before each game, and the atmosphere is relaxed. If you just want to watch and have a coffee, you are welcome.

"How do I know if an event is suitable for my age?" – Each event has a clear description, and in the interactive calendar you can see details about participants. Usually, groups consist of adults between 25 and 45 years old, but there is no strict limit.

"Can I come alone or do I need to bring someone?" – You can come alone. Many participants come alone and leave with new friends. The events are designed exactly for this – to create connections.

"How long does an organized hike last?" – It depends on the route. Usually, between 4 and 6 hours, including breaks and lunch. Details are published at least a week in advance, and the organizer also provides equipment recommendations.

"Is there a limit on participants?" – Yes, to maintain a pleasant experience, events have a maximum number of spots. For example, board game nights have space for a maximum of 30 people, and hikes for 25. Online booking is mandatory.

"What happens if I can no longer make it?" – You can cancel your reservation up to 24 hours in advance at no cost. Your spot will be released for someone else. If you cancel later, please let us know anyway so we can adjust the numbers.

"Do I pay anything extra besides the participation fee?" – No. The participation fee covers all costs mentioned in the event description. There are no hidden fees. If it's a hike, transportation and food are included where specified.

"How can I suggest a new event?" – You can send an email to our address or talk directly to the organizers at the events you attend. We love receiving ideas and turning them into real activities.

"Is there an online community where I can chat with other participants?" – Yes, we have a group on a messaging platform where events are announced and ideas are discussed. Access is granted after your first participation in an event.

If you have a question that doesn't appear here, write to us at info@arvadafriends.com or call 0212866910. We usually reply on the same day.

Participants bring new games or play from the cafe's varied selection, and the friendly atmosphere makes any beginner feel welcome. We spoke with the organizers about how the events grew from 5 to over 30 participants in just a few months, and about plans to expand the evenings to other cities.

Hike on the Râșnoava Gorges – A Networking Experience in Nature

On October 15, 25 adults from Brașov and the surrounding area participated in a guided hike on the Râșnoava Gorges. The trail, of medium difficulty, offered moments of collaboration and free discussion, away from screens. Participants shared career stories, hobbies, and ideas for future events, and by the end, a mountain running group was born that now meets every weekend.

Community Cooking Workshop – Recipes and Stories in One Place

The "Open Kitchen" Association organized a cooking workshop in the center of Timișoara, with 18 people signing up. Each participant brought a surprise ingredient, and together they prepared three dishes inspired by Romanian and international cuisine. Besides recipes, people shared food-related memories and planned the next meeting – an evening of desserts and travel stories.
